This project identifies the social factors that influence smartphone cybercrime victimization. We collect user activity data “in the wild” using a custom Android application (see https://www.pocket-security.org/), and record their data and reactions to stimuli. We then analyze a combination of smartphone sensor data, individual questionnaires, demographic data, and neighborhood data from Google Street View to test victimization theories.
