- Biography
Olena Antonaccio is an associate professor at the Department of Sociology at the University of Miami. She received her Ph.D. in sociology at North Carolina State University in 2008. Her areas of specialty are Criminological theory, cross-national research, and survey methodology. Her research interests include empirical tests and development of theories of crime and victimization and their application to various problem areas such as Cyber security, particularly using survey data and cross-cultural evidence. Her research has appeared in such journals as Criminology, Journal of Quantitative Criminology, Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Justice Quarterly, British Journal of Criminology, and Social Forces, among others. She is currently involved in the study of Cyber crime and victimization on college campuses in the USA and Israel and the longitudinal data collection project on consequences of violent conflict exposure in Ukraine.
