Christopher Freas
Ph.D. Student Alumini- Biography
Christopher Freas is currently a Ph.D. student in the Department of Computer Science at Georgia State University. His research work focuses on security threats to large networks such as the Internet. His principal work involves using machine learning to detect distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks. His other research interests include artificial neural networks, graph theory, and computational complexity theory.
Outside of the classroom, Chris works as a senior software engineer at Cox Communications, where he develops forecasting, analytics, and network automation tools, and strives to make the Cox network better.
